其實有d 大學tutor/prof. 佢地主要做研究, 講英文真係未必太好,
尤其工程科/內地黎的, 佢地寫英文是ok, 研究成就, 經驗都可能好好,
但講就較一般, 有關片段, 間房的確係polyu, 講pipe, sprinkler, 多
數工程科了
我yr 1 上stat(not polyu)...有個tutor 想開燈, 同我地講"open the light pls"....
有同學即刻講笑話, 拎支螺絲批 同佢開ar.....@@
但片段亦睇到問題, 就係其實大學d野, 唔一定要教你, 有d可能
notes 都唔派, 你要自己搵書就算, 如果就返片段內容去睇, 學生
要求都有d問題.....
另外教大學本身唔可以同教中小學去比...大學請人重點未必係"教學生"..
而依家我上緊的prof. 英文都好好了....有唔少本身係西方人士,
更是無問題......

English is not good is not a problem, we have Indian, Japanese, HKese (yes.... ) professor/ lectors/ TA that are not good in English, but this kind of teaching style and irresponsibility, he will be done in the next session (means gone!!!) Does Poly has quality performance review from student to professors, if so, then give him a bad review, let see how the school will deal with it...in our policy, if the professor has falled to 65% satification rating (good rating) consecutively in 2 quarters, then he will be fired, and barred from teaching at any of the Higher education institute in our state for 2 years...
Well, I know some people works in Poly, maybe if you have the profs. name, I might be able to weed out this bad apple....cause his teaching style, I will give him 40/100....

It's also depends on what courses those are, if those are premajor couses, then the role of the professor is to give information and also try to motivate/ enlighten students in order for the student to be able to understand the subject matters, after that, in Junior/ Senior, 3-400 level course, it's the chance for Student to work things out and proof to peers and faculty that he/ she knows the stuff (of course they have alreay has the basic knowledge, what needed this 2 years is some detail addon info (like regulations/ laws) and let the student develop a way of thinking....
But the students have their wrongs too, is it really so hard to reach the profs. after hour, like email, phone, cell, etc....Also, if you really don't know and have difficulty, did they ask the upper level brothers/ sisters at their schools (I believe this is a school of engineering class...) self motivation is important, and sticking on you PS2/3, and your online for only Youtube won't help you learn....

香港教育制度的問題。
中學果陣已經不斷俾 notes 呢樣野寵壞左，去到大學就繼續係咁，
你唔派 notes 就係錯！
呢個就係「雞精文化」。 |

英文差過佢多多聲的都大有人在，尤其係 d 大陸 Professor 同 Tutor...

舊聞一樁,該堂傳聞係BSE/CSE.
一般來說,eng. dept.之中,有些prof.講得一口流利英語,也有部份連基本發音亦欠準...
遇上後者,如非必要用英文,碰巧對方是內地學者,不妨用國語交談囉. |

但係而家 Hist 堂老師係黑板上寫 notes，同學雖然都照抄，但背後卻罵她只顧寫 notes，而這些 notes 的內容在課本也有 |

要求畀 notes 仲未算最過分, 上年我讀 yr1 見過有同學問個 professor
有冇 past paper 派  |
