Dear All,
a few weeks ago, East London Ltd- trading as Selkent , took delivery fo 10 E400 10.6m long 'tridents', numbered in the Stagecoach series 19131-19140. Those buses were ordered by the company when it was still part of the Stagecoach group.
As in the case of the 17/18 class in Stagecoach [the alx400 bodied tridents], there are differences between the body specified for London operation and the provinces.
Apart from the single door specified outside of London, and dual door specified for London, there some other differences, most important one is the staircase.
I post here photos of some of the new buses for route 61, and comparison shot of E400 in Newcastle.
regards

It seems that the E400s in New Castle are a bit shorter, aren't they? |
The Stagecoach models shown [routes 61 62 63] are all 10.6 or 10.7m long , while the London buses on route 63 are 10m long.

OT. Newcastle should be one word instead of "New Castle". |
