I have been to a private railway, which orginally part of Grand Central Railway linking London Marylebone and Sheffield. Less word more photo.
It is currently running between Loughborough and Leicester North with 9 miles of double track (unusual for preserve railway)
The comparment is refurbished back to 1960's.
First class compartment:
Loco turn round at the end of Leicester North and coupled to Loughborough end of coaches
The tracks are not steep and capable of 60mph running (in testing), it is only operated as 25mph with passenger loading
I have went to their maintenance shed and found some repair and restoration we with the firebox of a steam engine, here is one of them.
Fully functional signal box, a lot of UK's Network Rail junction still use the same type of signal and routing control.
Look at the loco under repair, their wheels are as big as a fully grown man.
Thank you for reading, comment welcome. Both English and Chinese.
