翻新後的 LU District Line

It looks to stay rather the same except adding a few handrails and the E-display...

But at least it looks better than before...and how about the door closing speed, has it been changed?

The line with the oldest trains is Metropolitian (A60/62) and Victoria,
just that District Line (D78/80) and C69 are looking too outdated to the current use, especially the single door design of D78/80.

The door - no hope on those doors..... they seem slightly faster but in fact they are the same set of doors.  I saw a full-set carriage (6 carriages) just 30 mins ago (29Jun 00:00).  but I was tking my girlfriend home, so I didnt bother to take any pics....... There's always another chance #:-/

Those doors are really no hope....they are the slowest doors that I have ever seen....
Perhaps because they are built at a time when there was a trough in the number of passengers taking Tube.

Currently there are > 2 full-set of carriage (at least 14 carriages) on the track.  I rode on one peak hours today and noticed the acceleration has actually been improved (due to the lighter / more plastic interior?).  Thw new stock can now actually chased up a picadilly line, whereas before the 'green-line' stock just simply get mocked by the dilly.......#:-zzz

I think the improved acceleration is more related to the improved inverter(?) or about the mechanical device, rather than the lighter weight of the carriage....

But anyway, it's nice to hear that District Line has improved its stocks...
as there is no reason that a very popular line should have such sub-standard trains to serve...
