[GB] Company Profile - Travel Dundee

Like many of my previous ambitious "series", I hope this one, "Company Profile", doesn't fall apart by my laziness! The first of the company profile is Scottish operator Travel Dundee. Formerly Tayside Buses (which should ring the bell if you remember Argos' Dominators), you only need to look at its livery to guess who own this company nowadays.



Travel Dundee's operation, as the name suggests, mainly confines in the city of Dundee. It competes with Strathtay, now part of Stagecoach. With a fleet of around 130 buses, it is the first major operator to convert its fleet completely with low floor buses in the UK, when a batch of B7TL was delivered in 2005.

Because of its connection with its sister company Travel West Midlands, both share a lot of common type in the fleet, such as the Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclpse Gemini as mentioned:

Because of this relationship with TWM, inevitably Travel Dundee has taken some cascaded vehicles off TWM as well, like this Lynx (former TWM 1214):

Don't think "well, that's very much like TWM then". In fact, not quite, because Travel Dundee do have a few types which is unique from any of its sister companies, like this SPD:
