One of the major trouble should be the decline of the airline industry after 911 and the rising oil fee, forcing the airlines to revise on their plan.  The advantage of using second hand planes is that most of them are available in short time and won't be too expensive, when compare with new planes.

It was quite funny to watch such statement when the same wordings were being said by other major plane producers in the 60's, when Boeing has just developed the 747.

Apart from the limited slots, the landing fee is another trouble also.

Time is a critical factor for some passengers, as most passengers would like to arrive in a place in a particular time slot.  Adding smaller planes with more frequency may not help the company to carry more passengers, since quite a lot of the passengers would have the time limit.

777 is more expensive is because 777 use better/higher technology and also newer design...
The price should be the manufactory listed price there...
Airbus are pretty cheap and the material that they use are pretty cheap too... So which make the maintiance cost for Airbus higher than Boeing...

係System同埋副偈耐唔耐壞下,仲有HQA & HQB既wing係過重,HQC就OK,但係個performance都係麻麻......

而波音今年內推出747Adv,
唔知A380同747Adv既載客究竟有幾大分別?

國泰對747Adv會否比A380較有興趣?

Well... B747Adv capacity would be lower than A380... It's capacity should be in between B744 and A380... But no detail information has been give out yet...
B747Adv will be using newer technology and also a upgrade cabin, crew rest area etc...
I think CX is interested on both B747Adv and A380... If Boeing decide to go ahead, it is more than likely that CX would go ahead with B747Adv rather than wait around and see how A380 turn out...
