I think you said there that the E500 in MTS livery was in San Diego only for a while back in 2005 or 2006.

And, another curious question: how come the wheel caps of North American E500s are so different from their counterparts in Hong Kong? At first sight it looks more like the Volvo B9TL/B10TL wheel disc.

P.S. It's too bad the APTA's held in October; if it was in August I'd almost certainly be there having fun.

The design/layout of the 12m E500H in this leaflet is different from the 12.8m one in #1.
Although they vary in length, there should be no fundamental difference. However, the
room for electric motor and cells at the rear lower deck of the 12.8m one does not show
up on the 12m version. This suggests that if Hong Kong operators would like to import a
12m one, they can locate the electric parts on the rear upper deck instead.

But the First Community Example is a 2 door configuation bor...we call it suburban seating, cause it's high back and not plastic seats.  Urban seating are like those in SF Muni.

However, I just have some unanswer question on the pic of the 40 foot version, Is the battery pack this compact that it can be located above the A/C unit at the rear upper deck, because the unit at the 42ft version doesn't seems small, and the Thermo King A/C is definitly not a small unit...

Yeah! They are the same.
The livery on this E500 is not MTS livery, The bus carries the same livery when it went to different companies for testing but different logos. As you can see from the pic, there is not bus company's logo on it,
For the wheel, i think it might be a standard for North American buses since most buses here i see are pretty much having the same look

To epsilon,
I think the pic of the 12M E500H is fake. I asked the staff from ADL if there is any E500H in 12M, and they replied that, only 12.8M is provided at this moment, and the one in expo is the only E500H they have

唔知 E500H 起步,加速同上斜點?感覺上 Orion 7 Hybird 起步好快, 爽過 CNG版.

今天和一些朋友去Riverside, 見到三部E500(12.8m E500 demo, 12M E500 demo, and 12.8M E500H) 在Eldorado 的廠內面. 這裡可能就是以後北美E500的生產地和demo 擺的地方
