Route 22 had several visitors:
RLH61- the surprise from Ensign bus, which was brought back from the USA.
London Transport bought those low high double decks and called it the RLH class. they served under 20 years and were retired in 1971. none of them ever served on route 22 or served central London.
RT1431- one of the tow surviving Craven bodied RTs- out of the 120 withdrawn in 1955.
RTW75- representing the class that served route 22 before replaced by routemasters.
RF48- an uninvited and unofficial guest, there were 700 RFs, which are really the modern equivalent of the 10 metre long dart.

she is a 50-yr old lady my fd
she felt great of driving a greenline RF in Central London, since there hasnt been any greenline buses officially going through Picadilly Circus since 1939 |

Ed and Lams,
I was not particularly impressed with RF48: not only was it not supposed to come, but it is not relevant to the route or the garage.
Also, and more important, it becomes increasingly diffiuclt to organise the special last day events, as London Buses and the various companies change their minds and what they want to see and do, and how many buses can take part. so, bringing unauthorised vehicles does not help the people who organise those events behind the scenes - and we have to consider that there 3 more last days to commemorate: route 13,38,159.
