[新車落地]GO NorthEast首批雙層威豪

今次係Go NorthEast四年前買Trident,
後首批雙層新車,
亦係第一次買威殼雙層車.
三部新車全部行長途高速公路線X10,
來往Newcastle-Middlesbrough,
取代NC豪,
配有高背座位,
當日Go NorthEast更舉行了啟行儀式,
不過自己唔得閒去唔到>_<.
This is the first time for GO NorthEast
to acquire new double decker since
the Trident entered service 4 yrs ago.
All the 3 Wright Bodied Volvo B7TL
are route branded for the Tyne Tee
Express service X10 and are installed
with high back seating and new
interior design.

其實點解要咁快取代富豪,
估計應該車齡唔太高喎,
係咪因為佢地唔係低地台? |

5年前, 呢條 X10 係用二手倫敦的 Optare Spectra 來行走,
當年有一次即日要去 Stockton, 去程坐在車上, 旅程非常舒服, 不過.....
在 Stockton 回程時, 欲遇上壞車脫班 (事後投訴才知).... #]
you know, Go NE 在 Tyne & Wear 以下的地方根本沒有陣地,
班次又極疏, 脫班後完全冇得救,
結果好似要坐 ARRIVA 的 X1 回來! 好慢!!
不過, Go NE 的 Customer Service 非常好, 除了回信解釋道歉,
還付贈一張他們的 Go 'n' Save 1-day bus pass (最大面額) 給我作補償! 
如果此情況發生在香港? 巴士公司最多 say sorry, 之後 "意見接受, 態度照舊" !! |

Yes...it is true...I do not know the reason for that,
thsoe Tridents are just 4 years old,
but look rather tired,
and also the interior is not well maintained,
and are among the worst of the Go NE buses
I have travelled. |

I think one of the reasons
is to improve the service,
those NC Olympains have bus seats only
and the interior is just the same with others
in the fleet. While thses Wright bodied B7TL
have higher specificaiton incuding
high back seats which is more suitable
for such a long journey.
Journey time is 1hr 20 mins and is about 60km
for single trip. |

Because it's Volvo B7TL.
B7TL is Volvo only 2-axle double decker version
for UK bus market. In UK, lots of 2-axle double
deckers there as they don't need to carry over
100 passengers.
However, at least one bus operator takes the
order of B9TL there. B9TL is the newest 3-axle
double decker version, not only in UK, but also
in Hong Kong, Singapore and Ireland.
