London - Funny Garage code (N,E,S,W) 無聊一貼 - 有趣的 garage code

For bus fans in HK, garage code are very easy to be remembered.  In London, garage code are located at the nearside or the offside of the bus.  Garage code usually are involved with two letters to incidate the abv. of the area.  However, there are some funny ones which I thought of.

N - Norwood, which has no relation to the North at all.  The garage is located in South London.

E - Enfield, which has no relation to the East at all.  The garage is located in North London.

W - Crickwood, located in West London which used to belong to London Transport and its now operated by Metroline.

S - Shepberds Bush, which has no relation to the South at all.  The garage is located in West London.

PB - if you are a gambler or a pony punter.  You might think its Perry Bar.  In fact, PB is one of the furthest garage from Central London.  Its currently operated by Metroline, some schedule of the Rte82 would have to run dead from PB, Potters Bar to London Victoria daily.  That's a good 20-mile dead run.

Note - Not all operators in London have garage code applied to their buses.
