Despite not being a common type on the road at all, short low-floor Scanias have have been around for some 7 years already. However, instead of the low-entrance K/L-series, all that appeared in Britain were the full low-floor, and much better laid out, N-series version. Until the Euro 4 N230/270UB came along, the short (10.6m) N94UBs were marketed as Omnitown - even Scania has never built a full integral vehicle of this variety:
The bodywork of the first two picutures make the buses look like the upper deck being removed. Similar to those Atlanteans of Travel West Midlands (some boardmates will know which I am referring to).
