Well, as a VW owner now both in HK and in US, I don't really recommand VW to ppl that have no knowledge in the basic working of engines, electronics parts of the car, I now have a 2003 VW Jetta Wagon, and a 2004 VW Polo 1.4 in HK, both of the car, I change my own oil, do the basic maintainese of the wiring, lights, etc. And trust me, never take the car to DCH to get Fix, or you will be totally dirth broke, everything is over price. As I can get wiring, interior parts, etc in China for a fraction of the cost. I also have a VW Golf Turbo (1989) that are waiting to be restore in the US. Apart from maintainese, VW is a hella cool car to drive, good handling, strong body (as my Jetta has been involve in 3 accident in the last 2 months). But I recommand that people should get a stick, cause of the heavier weight than most Japanese car in the same segiment. with Auto, the ECU will regulate the acceration speed.
