不, 兩列列車都是美國本土製造的.

In a press conference the evening of June 22, Catoe stated that the last car on the stopped train was a 5000-Series car, which entered service in 2001, and that the lead car on the moving train was a 1000-Series car. The latter entered service in 1976 when the Metro system opened. The 1000-series stock were refurbished and had their motors converted from DC to AC propulsion by Breda Costruzioni Ferroviarie in the mid-1990s.

此事故最終導致9人死亡, 80人受傷.
