Who can teach me??

(using any method to solve the question and leave the answer in surd)

thx a lot |

Multiply both sides with √2,
2x^2 - 5√2x + 4 = 0
then it can be factorized to (2x-√2)(x-2√2)=0
The solutions are obvious.

When I see the answer in surd
I will use the follwing Equation:
x=[-b±(b^2-4ac)^0.5]/2a
√2x^2 - 5x + 2√2 = 0
x={[-(-5)±(-5^2-4(√2)(2√2)]/(2)(√2)
=(5±3)/2√2
=8/2√2 or =2/2√2
=2√2 or =√2/2
Actually, this method is not good |
