澳洲V/Line最新車站Wendouree Station

澳洲維多利亞省的最新車站Wendouree Station位於Ballarat市中心以西約4公里的市郊，
在Ballarat Station以西約4公里(軌4.3公里)及墨爾本以西約109公里(軌123.1公里)

Ballarat為維多利亞省第二大郊區城市 (第一大為Geelong)，
人口約9萬，是個著名的掘金歷史名城，
Wendouree Station為Ballarat市第二個車站，2009年6月14日正式開放，
使Ballarat市成為維多利亞省第三個擁有多於一個車站的郊區城市

相對於Ballarat Station每日有16班車往墨爾本及17班車返回，
Wendouree Station每日只有6班車往墨爾本及5班車返回，
主因是Wendouree Station不幸地在Ballarat Station西面，
而Ballarat Line郊區通勤線止於Ballarat Station，
以西就已經是Ararat Line郊區鄉下線，
所以超過一半班次均以Ballarat Station為終點站而到不了Wendouree Station

再加上以Ballarat Station為中途站的大部分班次均需停靠5-8分鐘才繼續開行，
故此對於泊車轉乘的乘客來說，Wendouree Station其實沒甚吸引力，
因他們直接到Ballarat Station乘車更快及有更多的選擇

Ballarat Station至墨爾本市中心的Southern Cross Station 特急(Express)車程1小時12分鐘，
普通(stopping-all-stations)車程1小時22分鐘，使用Wendouree Station再加7-12分鐘，
用車主要是極速160km/h的V/Locity

Ballarat市有不少人每天往返墨爾本市中心上班，
假日亦有不少人到墨爾本市中心消遣，加上駕車不比特急班次快，
所以前往墨爾本市中心的鐵路需求十分殷切，
繁忙時間及假日某些時段出現企位並不意外，
偶而會出現迫滿人情況，曾一度引起公眾對160km/h高速行車的安全關注，
更曾有司機及車務員因載客量超出法定人數而拒絕開車

1) 用不用到 維州 myki (香港8仔) - 好像叫 zone 8?

2) 是否regional fast rail 其中一站?

1) 未得住，依家剩係得Geelong、Ballarat、Bendigo、Seymour同La Trobe Valley嘅市內巴士用緊，慢到出汁

2) 唔係，Regional Fast Rail Project只係cover去到Geelong、Ballarat、Bendigo同Traralgon，
Wendouree Station已經過左Ballarat

Albury Line現正進行標準軌化，即North East Rail Revitalisation Project，
完成後XPT同經改裝行標準軌嘅V/Locity可以160km/h到Albury，
但V/Line要改行Albion-Jacana標準軌，唔再經Essendon，
換言之同Metro Service從此河水不犯井水

Yes.

That's how I travelled from Ballarat Station to Wendouree Station by bus no.16.

No V/Locity will be converted onto standard gauge.

However, V/Line is converting 3 N Class locomotives and 12 N carriages (I think) for the standard gauge for Albury.

The Seymour and Shepparton services will continue to operate on broad gauge.
