[LDN] Hertiage bus: Routemaster

Routemaster, another target in my London trip
They can now only be found in 2 routes: 9 and 15
I tried them in both of the routes
The heavy vibration when the bus stopping gives me the feeling of hot dog in HK
However, it just likes a Dennis Dart when it is running  (refurbished with Alison engine same as Dart?)

Partially correct as Alison does not manufature engine, this batch of Routemasters is powered by Cummins B-Series.  Plus the Alison gearbox, this is the identical driveline of a Dennis Dart, and hence what you felt.  The vibration when idling is a common problem when installing the electronic gearbox on a Routemaster. Nevertheless, do enjoy the suspension system, this is still a design of 50+ years ago.

And, so lucky were you to capture all of the special liveried Heritage Routemasters.  Don't overlook the RM652 on 15H that she is having the solid LT roundel.

This is the bar-in-cicle LT logo using in 70s-80s in the place of London Transport fleet name, usually in white.  You may check your photos again, only RM652 carries this; the rest are with underlined London Transport (plus the respective operators First or East
London).
