And the honour falls onto this Spectra - Entering service in 1997 and beaten TWM's 4001 (the then 1) by just a matter of hours.

o.. the 1st low floor double deck in hk was new to a small company.
what is 4001?

R222AJP entered service 349 (Bristol - Keynsham) at 0650hr on 3rd Feb 1998.

The reg-plate of the bus- AJP, stands for its owner Mr. Alan J Peters, former Badgerline Manager.

4001 is the first DAF DB250 with Optare Spectra body in Travel West Midland (or National Express
West Midland now).

Just another question comes out from my mind...is 4001 transferred to Wolverhampton garage now
or is it still with Birmingham Central garage?
