just wanna point out that the
abbreviation/ station code for sunny bay
doesn't related to foreigners...
the usual rule for mtr to set up a station
code for 2 words (in english) is, first 2
alphabets in the first word and 1 in the
second.
if we apply this into sunny bay, it would
be: sunny bay = sub
here we have a conflict: sub, meaning sub
station (變壓站), and to resolve it, they
changed sub into sun... sunny bay
= sun
the same rule applies to po lam and tiu
keng leng...
po lam = poa
tiu keng leng = tik
