Here are some photos of Las Vegas's E500 tridents.
There are two batches: 101-190 which have dual staircases [straight for going up, traditional for going down]
and 201-245- which has one straight staircase.
the 101-190 batch is used mainly on the Deuce service, and both batches are used on other routes.
Many of the buses carry all over adverts [not at the front], so here are three photos of buses with no adverts;
regards

Only the 42ft E500s (150-190) which has 2 staircases are used in The Deuce. 101-141 are just normal 12M/40ft E500 with only one staircase. All RTC 12M E500s can find in local routes (103, 107, 109B, 110, 202, and 204) |

I should make the following remark: 201-245 belong to the second batch of 12m E500s. They are fitted with light blue handrails in the interior, as opposed to yellow ones on the first batch. The first batch were formerly seen on the Deuce until the 12.8m variant entered service. |

Thanks for your explanations!
Most of the buses we saw on the Deuce service were covered with all over adverts, making it very hard to see exactly what the bus was! and, of course, as a passenger, you had to sit at the front if you wanted to see the views, as the adverts obstruct the views.
The service itself, which we rode end to end , was extremely slow, due to the long dwell time at each stop and the traffic light phasing. It seems that the visitors to Las Vegas are not familiar with the concept of using a bus service, taking a long time to board the bus, ask questions, pay their fares and board upstairs.

According to my 3-day experience in Las Vegas three months ago, walkingcan be faster than riding on the Deuce along certain sections of theStrip... Traffic congestion is really an issue there. But then, the Deuce appears to be a great success - the buses seem to be always full on weekends, at least along the most crowded sections.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake. I made the apparently wrong deduction because 101-141 are equipped with yellow handrails, if I remember correctly. I was on the 12m variant only once, though. |

Traffic congestion on the Strip is really a problem. During Thanksgiving, i met my friend who works in Veolia recording the arrival time of each southbound buses outside Fashion Show Mall for planning the time table of future ACE gold line. He showed me the log sheet, and there were approximately 23 buses on the route, but none of the buses can arrive on time, and some of the assignments had to push back because no bus can reach to the terminal, and this results the bus behind has to push back the assignment as well, so basically, the assignment sheets for the drivers who drive The Deuce are useless. |

A question:
there are 130 E500s in Las Vegas. If you use 23 buses on the Deuce and another 10 on the 107/109, and another 20 on the 110/202, this still leaves quite a lot of spares.
are they used on private contracts or some other routes?
regards

According to my friend, at most only 60% of double deckers are used daily, so there are a lot sitting in the yard. Below is a shot at Tompkins yard approximately 2 years ago when the 40ft E500 were still used for the Deuce . You can see there are a lot of E500s spared in the yard
