Davis Ca: Rt in service

Davis in California hosts a major university.
Unitrans operates buses in town, tailored to move students between halls and residential halls, and also to cater for council workers.

They operate some double decks- RTs- purchased from London 40 years ago. The RTs date from 1948-1951, and there are still 4 or 6 available for service.

Here is RT742, driven and crewed by students in service in Davis on route 'G'.

It is amazing at this day and age to find such old buses in regular service! the day we were there, 3 RTs were used: 742, 2819, 3123.
