如果兩盞燈同時著, 橙光就會比白光cover左, 睇落就唔係橙色

No, ctb8107 just said the indicator light becomes more visible and blanked out the side light. He did not mean the sidelight would turn itself off.

It is how the light cluster looks when both the indicator and sidelight are on:
