The orders were made and well known  within the circle way before First made the press announcement. Particularly for the 44 DNs (for the 26 and 30) for First London, which are ordered alongside 65 VN-class B9TL (for conversion of the 25 back to double deckers) at Q4 last year. Those B9TLs are also on their way for delivery as we speaks at the moment, 2 months before they are actually needed. Early delivery of both types are no doubt to do with the large batch of vehicles involved.
