Volkswagen has increased its shareholding in MAN from 29.9 per cent to 30.47 per cent as it aims to create an integrated commercial vehicle group combining MAN, Scania and VW. VW holds 45.66 per cent of the shares in Scania, along with 70.94 per cent of the voting rights. VW sees substantial synergies in the fields of procurement, development and production, but warns that competition legislation may be a challenge.

The collaboration of MAN and Scania has been rumoured in the industry for a few years, ever since both went down the EGR route to develop their Euro4+ compliant solution. This move, strategically, makes perfect sense in that 1. It gives VW a local foothold on the commercial vehicle market and 2. MAN's product line, being EGR solution based, will fit well with Scania that allows joint development between the two manufacturers. |

睇過top gear都知當年leyland旗下的私家車有幾唔掂
真係連英國人都唔睇好
不過而家的福士..單計民用車廠品牌都達十個
真係比leyland更強大 |
