Update @ 2210 local time: The Peckham victim is London Central's WVL302, a 59-reg B9TL ordered for the contract renewal for the 21 last year. Comparing to DLA284 and the yet-to-be-identified Croydon victim, it doesn't look too bad, and should be repairable.

Yeah, but this thing is barely 4 months old. That AVBW was written off because it was beyond economical repair, but WVL302 much newer, thus hold much higher residual value to justify a rebody than a write-off. Not to mention because the arson damage was against the interior of the bus, I reckon the mechanical damage will be comparatively slight to AVBW29.

Anyway, I have confirmation that the bus that was burnt to the ground at Croydon on monday night is Abellio 9755, a Trident/ALX400.
