Looks like it is built under the EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (a new regulation), in which case the dual door layout has already satisfied the number of emergency exits required, which is why it was not fitted.
S3N92: 17001 is still a service bus and can still be found regularly on the 55.

回S3N92兄:
ta1 暫時仲有出來服務,有時行rail replacement,
一係就基本上好大機會只行rt.55,
不過有傳佢遲d可能會轉做收藏車....
回dongfeng 兄:
應該係個別巴士公司的選擇,
tfl好似無特別要求新巴士右邊車身不設緊急出口,
但必須有緊急窗口取代..
新出牌w/b9tl同scania依然設有緊急出口門,
暫時只有e200dart,e400同w/vdl db300可以提供不設緊急出口門. |

15號線年尾會換E400H,屆時應該有一批歐三ALX400 Trident
多出來給55號線換走較舊的Trident。 |
