LG1200在香港係得AD53同AD56用275匹呢款, 動力同6LXDT差唔多, 但利蘭同密龍用嘅係230匹版本, 頂多比6LXCT大力少少. |

FS1819 is actually correct. The Olympian (and Metrobus) is a semi-integral design and has to rely on the bodywork to provide structural strength. Without the body, the chassis will not be strong enough to stand on its own and will buckle and collapse.
If this sounds dodgy, actually all low-floor chassis you see nowadays are built to the same semi-integral design concept. The light weight benefit outweighs the need of an excessively heavy and stronger chassis. |
