Of course body and chassis builders have to work together, but it's not like battary packs have not been fitted on a bus before (I don't mean the standard battery unit of course) - We have already seen the likes of Wright Gemini HEV, Electrocity, Designline, the original E200H and a number of products across the Atlantic something like 5-10 years before the E400H ever turns up. The fact is battery packs nowadays, particularly Li-ion batteries, are much more compact units that the technical challenge of fitting it on a bus is no worse than fitting an air-cond unit on it.
Unless you think fitting a battery pack on a bus is like fitting a nuclear power station on it (and which ironically, has been done and are on the road as well), then all I can say is your interpretation of knowledge, or the lack of it, is fatally flaw. |

Yes, and if you are so convinced with what you think is correct, why not spelling it out rationally to disprove my points, or at the absolutely minimum, prove your points are correct? There must be something I am not seeing, other than blind belief, that cause you to have so much conviction to what you think.
Technologically battery packs are battery packs. It has the batteries, control unit, wiring to and from the drivetrain and electricity generator, cooling pack, you name it. And at the end of the day, it's just a subsystem, and as I said, it won't be any different from anything else on a system integration point of view to put on a bus.
I am disputing you not because, out of respect, you as a person. I am disputing you because your points do not stack up, logically and technically from an engineering standpoint. Why would you expect me to agree something that I know, deep down, that is blatantly wrong? |
