(UK) FW: New E400s for West Midlands

NXWM's order for new buses in 2011, including a mixture of B7RLE, E400, E400H & B5LH,
has finally arrived, of which some B7RLE are in service with Wolverhampton garage already.

However, it seems the new Enviros catch more spotlights. Here comes a photo of 3 new Enviros
all in different colours. The blue one is destined for Coventry, the red one is for Walsall or Perry
Barr, while the green one is a hybrid example for Birmingham Central garage:

The hybrid livery looks nice...would definitely buy its model if there's one!

There are 13 for Coventry entering service on the 21 from next week.

Scrap!! 4 has already gone for storage at Lea Hall Garage.
The 9 O405N bendies at Coventry are the type with the worst fuel consumption and they are already 13 years old.

The freshly repainted (by hand) 6002 is one of the 4 went to storage

6005 seen in service tonight on 21.

Oh they're going for scrap?
I thought they'd be refurbished and put on another route (rumours said 12 before)...
It's quite normal though, as even the O405Ns have started to retire.

6009 is another going for storage with 6002 as I know.

What a shame to see them go.
Yes, those bendies are old. (For British standard)
But not terribly old, if you know what I mean.
They are only about the same age as those Cityflyer Trident in Hong kong.

Availability of spare parts is another issue.
The O405 series is uncommon within UK, and the O405GN is even unique for NX Coventry
across the country. This also contributes to its early withdrawal.

Not only that, The O405GN are the most unreliable bus type in the fleet.
Here is an example of 6007 suffered fire damage due to electrical problem.

The photos above suggest neither E400H nor E400 have air cooler on the upper deck
