London Fog....

Sometimes in winter, we have some very foggy days; it can last the whole day, or it can only be for a few hours
Here is a photo of a bus in the fog- a very atmospheric shot taken at Rose Hill, Sutton last Sunday.

The excuse is the appearance of an E400 d/d bus on route 164...

Route 164 is worked by single decks -from Merton [AL] garage on Mon-Sat
but on Sunday, the route is worked by Sutton [A] garage.  

When the company runs rail replacement buses on the Tattenham service, they need single deck buses, because of low bridges;
so, sometimes on Sunday, you can see double decks on route 164.
Sutton garage has 53 East lancs bodied tridents [DOEs] , 13 PVLs [plaxton bodied volvo B7TL] and 4 E400 trident [Es].
Therefore, the choice of one of the Es for route 164 is fairly uncommon....
