TWM- Birmingham: new E400H first day 12 dec 2011

Travel West Midland ordered a batch of E400H and volvo B5LH hybrid buses for use on routes 22/23 [the routes interwork].Yesterday, the first 4-5 E400H of this batch entered service
[The official Press launch was held last week, showing off the new livery and the new buses to the local press]

Here is 5401- the first of the batch- photo'ed in Paradise square, central Birmingham on it's first day.

Great job mate! I heard that these hybrids were supposed to enter service in Jan 2012, but NXWM
decided to put them on the road earlier because of the shortage of buses at
Birmingham Central garage.
(In fact it was reported that there were regular single-deckers wandering onto the
22/23 in the past few weeks, while 22/23 are supposed to be operated by double-
deckers)

Yet it's a great Christmas present for Birmingham!
(The green livery reminds me of a Christmas tree)
