早幾個月去Coventry搭過呢批車都已經覺得批車殘到甩皮甩骨
感覺好似連NationalExpress都唔想要批車咁
估批車唔會玩得好耐
結果批車幾個月後真係退左
其實回想返13年前新車果陣曾經有個段小插曲
就係當年TravelWest MidlandFirstManchester曾經為左
爭住成為第一間使用低地台掛接巴士既公司
First Manchester將批VolvoB10LA提前出街
oo岩好早過Travel West MidlandBenz一日
結果FirstManchester贏左
除此之外
TWMFirstManchester既首都掛接都用左cherished no. plates
First Manchester首部VolvoB10LA車牌為 S111FML
TWM 首部O405NGS1TWM
可見得巴士公司對批新型掛接有幾咁重視
可惜,歲月要將他們帶走
S111FML已經o係今年6月左右退役

S1 TWM這個車牌早就換了給#6022(第一部Scania Omnicity掛接),
現時仍服務67號線;
至於#6001應該不會再出來服務了。

I see, I wonder what will happen to those Scania bendies in a few years time considering 67 is a flagship route and the Scanias are 7+ years old already. Will National Express get more new bendies for 67 or will Birmingham get the "de-bendification" treatment like London.

No plan has been heard yet for any replacement for the Scania bendis.
On top of the list to be replaced are now the O405N, B6, & B10L, which hit the age of 13-14.
National Express has not yet announced their order in 2012, so let's wait and see...but I suspect
that they'll continue to get full-size single deckers & double deckers in the coming year.
May be more B7RLEs and some B9TLs?
(Birmingham would need some more eco-friendly buses as the city is banning buses with emission
standard not meeting Euro-2 from getting into the city centre from 2012)

其實我就話間野係淋退之前都可以將部架車保養得禁好,我覺得已經好好啦,我就唔係禁覺得太殘啦
不過講真呀,o405要退真係有D唔捨得,此中都係一代車王仲係我既愛車之一,希望有英國巴迷買佐佢啦

另問,呢架究竟係o405gn定係o405ng架???同有咩分別架???

Such a shame to see them go as these buses are perfectly acceptable even for today's standard.
It is understood that O405N, B6, B10L are due to go next after the last B10B went.

I think this is a O405gn, O405NG is a gas bus from my knowledge.
I too quite like the O405N.
They go like a rocket, in their youger days at least.
But I have heard there are lots of speculation saying some of the O405n have corroion and body stress problem towards the rear, that's why quite a number of them have a patch fitted above the rear wheel.
