If you are saying 2+2 3AV (especially HC-HG batch), I would would still prefer new bus over those...
AC is much better on new bus than those so-call "appropriate" bus...
Seating on the bus for at least 50 min and my butt is all sweaty wet...Happened a few times in the past summer

Bottom line, you can't speak for all passenger.
Therefore shouldn't make conclusion that which bus is the most "appropriate" for dispatch...

前面有師兄講點解唔甩番兩個廣告再上落另外兩部車度。上咗又要甩又要再貼,貼紙要另外再俾過錢,咁既然有無廣告嘅車,咪可以節省無謂的開資,亦可免卻俾人話浪費。

Well, it depends. Say, if those new buses are equipped with V-seat, then I would rather choose 3AV.
For AC system, sometimes the AC in new buses are even worse than those so-called old buses. I did experience it with my friend (not a bus fan) on an AVBWU before, and he asked me whether this bus is old. When I told him its a new bus, he even doubted.
By the way, you are right that no one can speak for all passengers, but Im pretty sure that for most of the normal passengers, they wouldnt take whether the buses are old or new in account that much. If new buses come but they cant get on the bus, it is just pointless to them.

Really~? The other day I rode an 3+2 AD on rt 46x,
Multiple passengers commented that the bus was old on that one trip.
What are the odds that I just heard those couple people comment that on that one single trip?
People are not stupid, and most people prefer new over old if they have a choice
This is just human nature and a simple fact.
If you don't want to admit it, that's fine, have a great time and I really careless.

Of course, if we are talking about antique, then it might be a different story.

I heard many people from different source complaining that AC in AVBWUs are comparatively weaker than those in 3AVs or even ALs, didnt you know that?
If you make a comparison in an aspect of seat type, it is no doubt that most people would rather prefer 2+2 seat than 3+2 seats. It is not an issue of new and old, but the extend of comfort instead. Say if you got a 3+2 AVBWU, I am sure that the same thing will just happen. I remember someone had pointed out that they heard some kids saying that 2+2 AS is a new bus, so what does it imply?
Im not aimed at criticizing you, I just want to point out another aspects of the issue that you may neglect, but anyway if you know it and choose to deny it, okay fine, I wish you have a good time too.

個部RJ 應該比36B 好過36M 其實36B 部份ATE 係ZF 波箱, 可以與58X 的蛋對調喎
