咁奇怪, 香港就盡量想將油缸放樓梯底增加座位, 北美版反而為左擺油缸同尿缸減左一排位?
係咪因為北美巴士路程長D, 油缸要大D>?

North American version is 12.8M tho.

睇中軸同尾軸既軸距，已經知道呢個唔係新底盤。

小弟係Toronto人...呢隻E500係矮版, 比舊E500矮10cm. 小弟工作嘅地方接近York大學, 有幾條行E500嘅路線, 不過仲未有幸親眼一睹新車實物.

針冇兩頭利，各取所需啦！

因為香港需要高載客量，124唔夠，所以新E500要去到13x
但北美唔需要咁高載客量，11x已經好夠

佢長度限制少，可以12.8米長
反而有Ｄ地區有高度限制，所以只有4.1米高
雖然減左兩排位，但低地台區大左，維修亦都容易左！

記得舊版就放起車尾窗左側 ~

OT. 基本上而家美加大城市用雙層都已經係普遍, E500 都打入左唔小城市市場,
但係溫哥華呢個起加拿大排第三 o既城市,
竟然連 Victoria 都已經有雙層 o既時候 (有左 n 年), 溫哥華仍然一架都冇,
而家用掛接根本就唔夠載, 究竟 Translink 幾時先肯引幾架過黎用下

Vancouver & SF will probably never use Double Decker as Public Transit due to their argument of Trolley Wires.  BTW, with the great differences in design of the NA E500.  I wonder does ADL classified them differently.  

PS: I've found a picture of OC Transpo's E500 chassis a while back in flickr.  You can see the different layout compare with HK versions.

Translink and SF Management should go to Athens, or Melbourne, they have OPEN TOP Double deckers running under tram and trolley buses wire, some of these are ex- London Titan

NA version still not using ZF axles?

如果我冇記錯的話, E500 係去過溫哥華試過車,
而我起網上面都搵到一張 E500 起 Metrotown o既相,
事實上如果架 E500 入到 Metrotown 個 loop 的話, 電網問題係唔係即係冇問題 ? (因為 Metrotown loop o既 19 號都係行 Trolley) ~
