Right, you clearly haven't got a clue on what you are talking about. To save 2.5 tons, you basically have to take out the whole air-conditioned unit and the plumbings. Even that will not achieve that level of weight saving.
I will keep it simple. This DB300 can carry 8 more people that the E400(HK), that implies that the latter is about 520kg heavier (assume 65kg average person weight). That difference can pretty much be attributed to the E400's bigger engine and the longer rear overhang. As Wrightbus and ADL have both proven lately, that amount of weight can easily be taken out of the bodywork if they want to... |

PS:E400MMC方梯設計對英國本土嘅巴士乘客又是否陋生?條方梯改為樓下先踏兩級才轉90度,亦有別於E50D,樓梯底自閉位亦因空間不中消失了。以往新記兩軸mcw訓練車拆咗條梯開窗畀師傅睇位,若改E400只需拆咗駕駛室後塊板,但近來嘅訓練車都冇拆梯,其實當初訓練鯊仔有冇必要咁做?#555又冇改訓練車,低地台真是可以轉做訓練車? |

單層同雙層又點可以直接比較呢? 淨係講淨重都差成噸以上, 重心又唔同, 引擎佈局又唔同(雖然兩者都用排氣量相若嘅引擎)
九巴AVC行T-drive, 而MCV雙層(VDL)就用橫偈, 多少都有動力流失, 何況輸出仲比AVC少
所以好難怪有人擔心佢嘅動力表現, 話唔定九巴會將引擎輸出調高至同AVC睇齊
如果限佢跑短途當然無問題啦, 但會引起其他問題, 譬如派車唔夠靈活, 從而影響派車質素等等
空載差幾多我唔識計, 不過唔好忘記AVC一來長成兩米, 二來VDL車身有偷輕過
再咁數既話, 大家都唔知DB300尾牙有幾大, 咁點解又要一口咬定架車唔掂呢
限線就唔駛點限既, 放落沙廠都幾岩駛, 反正又唔係咩先例
後續:
小弟由細到大都未聽過派車會因為架車唔夠力而冇得行某d線
就算ASV咪照樣特見64K
