The last time I travelled with BA, I and my brother were upgraded to Business Class
from Traveller plus.
That was just because the flight was overbooked, we were told to be upgraded
just bef ...
Oh...BA lucky u...
I didn't get upgrade to World Traveller Plus from World Traveller throughout last school year (3 returns)
Perhaps, due to I did online check-in for myself before on board...therefore, they didn't arrange me for a free upgrade~~
P.S.: Many my schoolmates, their parents will not allow their son to take the same flight with their brother(s),
because of traditional Chinese culture problem... |

For the last few times I travelled on CX, I had an exit row sit, and so as my brother.
(he is not even a member of Macro Polo club yet).
Of course I won't be able to get a Gold card. |

Exit rows are reserved for Marco Polo club members and passengers with special needs. You can reserve the seat when you book the ticket. |

I wonder exit row seats are normally full then bulkhead aisle or not?
But I couldn't even get bulkhead aisle seat when making phone call to CX MPC hotline (HK office)...
Besides, is it normal that, many passengers would rather choose 1st cabin seats than 2nd or 3rd cabin?
Because when I checked the seat map while making online check in,
most of the 1st cabin seats are normally occupied,
eventhough I got accessed online just 48 hours in advance~~
P.S.: Some Marco Polo Club Hotline staffs were so MEAN...
when I made phone call to get request for seats,
I have asked just for: "Whether any 1st cabin aisle seat or not?"
they MAY reply that: "sorry, all full, do u mind to choose some middle seats?"
Of coz not...
then, I make a phone call again, another staff answered of course,
when I asked the same question,
they replied me that: "Yes! Loads of them are still available for u to choose...
There is a 1st row seat, but it is a bulkhead aisle seat, do u want to take it?"
I was so shocked at that time... can't believe the staffs were so MEAN to different members~
Sometimes, when I asked for exit aisle seat, or bulkhead aisle,
they replied me that," they had reserved already...
for bulkhead, u can't reserve it, unless you have to carry a baby with u..."
Then, i made a phone call again to request to change the flight...
From 1/7's Cathay 256 change to some earlier flights,
the staff was so kind that, she has helped me to check the seat map on those flights which I told her (wanna choose A346's flight) ...
She told me the flight which are availbe for reserve exit row/bulkhead aisle one by one ... (include seat number of coz)
finally, i hv choosed that day's 54H on Cathay 254...
I wanna make a phone call to MPC Customer service line to say thank you ...
but forgot to ask for her name and staff number...=.="

Very common sight on CX's hotline, ring the second time will change the things around.

Yes, they are reserved for MPC members so you probably missed the chance. You should make your reservation earlier and of course I cant see why MPC members dont get a chance unless row 44 has been fully occupied by pax.
I cant say the staff are mean depends when did you make the phone call, but I don't think it is all full cos most passengers got their seats upon check in. I just read your earlier post and you said you are currently holding green card, then you better wait until you get silver as green doesnt get any priority at all.
You should read the MPC membership guide about benefits on different tiers. |

Oic, so I will be far more lucky that I can take exit row with a green card...^^
I will be a silver member in this summer, as I just have 85 miles to go for it,
umm...
Besides, will Asia Miles and MPC memberships expire or not?
Or else they are permanent memberships?
cheers mate~

I think MPC will either downgrade and if u dont get sufficient miles your membership may be terminated on the expiry date printed on your card |

Oic~~
thx so much~
Lastly, where did you make request for exit row when you have booked the ticket.
Because I have made a phone call to MPC office in 05's Xmas to reserve seat for the pasted Easter and this summer,
but the staff told me that the seat map for summer didn't load up to the database yet...
then I phoned again in JAN for reserving those seats,
they replied that those good seats were all occupied... sigh...~
