But I just wanna know if I have made an online check-in procedure,
will my chance be getting a free upgrade be lower or higher?

One of the Virgin ground staffs told me if I do an online check-in,
my chance will become lower instead, is that true?

And as I remember, she advised me to proceed to check-in counter 45-60 mins prior to departure,
in order to get a high chance to get a free upgrade.

Is her advise correct or not?
What do you guys think?

No one knows!!!But please stop keep dreaming about this, this is not a MUST for passengers, please understand the ground staff's situation.

You are very likely to miss the flight if you proceed to check-in counter 45-60 mins prior to departure on Friday!!
Remember LHR is a very busy airport and since the new security measure introduces, you have been told to do the check in at least 45 mins prior departure and 20 mins to the boarding gate, with just only 25 mins spare for the Heathrow Security check??? You must be kidding!

My last suggestion is: Ask the ground staff for upgrade when you check-in rather than keep guessing and wondering.
They are the one who decides it!

I think that the chance of upgrade is equal to 0, coz Business class is already fulled and maybe overbooked, CX may keep some F class seat for J class overbook pax

please don't keep dreaming about free upgrade,
actually many of flight between LHR<>HKG is over booked in all classes .
I can tell you , if you just only a silver card member ,
your chance of being upgraded is almost zero in such peak season.

Exactly, this route is extremely high demanding and over booked in all classes is a common sight even they added CX256/7 as the daily flight, no helps!

Y-class(Full fare)唔係應該遲full過B/H/M/K/L/V...(Restricted econ)既咩!?!

點解係國泰個booking system裡面見到好多班機 (尢其係一月份HKG->LHR)....

Y-class full左... 但B/H-class仲有得賣...

到底係點解呢?
