That idea did not come from Stagecoach. It came from ADL, which itself have ripped the idea from MAN and Mercedes anyway....
The fact is if KMB (or other HK operators) wish, all they need to do is fit the B9TL with the Enviro 400 body work - you just need to look as far as Dublin which has 50 of these, in 2-axle form. It will not work for the E500 chassis unless it is fitted with smaller tyres, which reduces the size of the wheel arches. |
