$4.1 vs $3.2
And the lines which via Luen Wo Hui is also need to via Fanling or Jockey Club Road which slows down the speed of the buses and reduce the competitiveness of the bus againist minibuses.
So that I suggested some lines so that KMB can get some pessengers from the minibuses. Especially for the express sevice of Luen Wi Hui via Ma Sik Road to Sheung Shui.

I didn't talk any line which connects Ching Ho and LWH... = =|||
What I did is to solve the problem of 70K (Too long, too expensive , not frequent enough and single journey only)
For the lines going to LWH, they have to via the Sha Tau Kok Road where the road is quite congesting. It is better to via another road, So that I suggested a new route from SHS to LWH to improve it.
Also, as you have mentioned that the direct route from SHS to LWH has one only (70K) , it has a demand for more direct route.
70K,73 is more than $4 ($4.2,$3.3[non-air-con]), while 73A is $4.1. It is too expensive which cannot compete with the minibuses where the fare is $3.5
only.
And for other inter-regional lines, the fare are $4.1 which is more expensive than regional lines which are $3.7 or $3.2.
The minibus can compete with KMB as the fare is cheaper than KMB
The main purpose of those suggestions is to ease the problem of 70K!

Well, the other regional lines are just $0.5 per actual KM only. ($4.1 againist 7.5-8.4KM)
While the lines in North District is just about 4 KM only which is costed $4.1 also.
The fare is double than those lines.
It is unfair to North District
Also, it will be a laughstick for having a interchange among short distance regional lines
