之前有人講過,應該係因為之前有部唔記得係佳牌定係丹拿的巴士發生意外
中巴因而同收購了該公司的利蘭反面。

The CMB bus was just like the KMB CV 184 but in blue and cream CMBcolours. Having already supplied both KMB and CMB with two axleOlympians Leyalnd seemed to think that both would take the long threeaxle versions - which KMB did but CMB are said not to have liked theengine and were not impressed with this vehicle being imposed on them.
At the time Leyland were very bad at dealing with some operators, mis-judging what customers actually wanted and obviously thought ifthey built such a bus, CMB would then take it. CMB were not impressedhowever and didn't want to have anything to do with it.
Meanwhile they didn't know what to do with it but when Citybus orderedOlympian coaches it was easier for Leyland to convert this (and ademonstrator) to coach spec. and sell them to Citybus. |

其實當年MCW係的確研發左一架冷氣車比九巴做試驗(DP1932),但係就唔多啱香港用(但係英國又用唔著)
試驗結果亦好驚人(好似話一個月都未夠個冷氣系統就永久死亡 ),死前只係行過68x
而且當時為1987年,只係比AL1出牌早一年,MCW都研製唔到冷氣車,而且佢地正陷入財困
佢地將所有希望都擺晒落架冷都度,諗住靠架冷都黎翻生,冷都計劃失敗左年幾後MCW就摺埋
如果冷都當年真係試驗成功,咁九巴入既豈不是叫AM,中巴入既咪叫MA?
*而且DP1932仲會取代AL1成為第一架試驗成功既冷氣雙層巴,仲可能比九巴保留係BCOY展出 |

MCW 摺埋係因為母公司收購利蘭失敗再加上止唔到蝕喎,
就算冷都真係掂, 收購唔到利蘭, 佢都唔會玩多好耐 |
